IMC was established by Presidential Decree Number 477/2000 as an
independent body to implement and coordinate the modernization of the
Egyptian industry under the Industrial Modernisation Programme (IMP),
jointly funded by the European Union 250 million Euros,the Government
of Egypt 103 million Euros and the Egyptian private sector 73 million
Euros with a total budget of 426 million Euros.
Today IMC is part of the everlasting process of continuously bringing
Egyptian industry to international competitiveness with serious
commitment from the Government of Egypt to continue financial support
